Sieges

Introduction to Sieges

What are sieges?

  • Sieges are used to takeover Tier 3 - 6 cities.

  • Sieges can only happen once a war has been declared in the #war-declaration channel.

  • Unlike assaults, sieges transfer the ownership of the city, and the land around it.

  • Sieges can only occur during war days

    • War days are: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

  • Sieges can also only occur within a 2 hour window, which are set when the city is initially marked.

  • Sieges can only be declared, and won via movecraft ships.

Starting sieges

  • Sieges can only take place when a war has been declared. It is recommended to read this page before attempting a siege.

  • To start a siege, you first must be piloting a movecraft ship inside of the city siege region.

    • Coastal cities can be sieged only by Destroyers, Cruisers, Aircraft Carriers and Battleships.

    • Inland cities can only be sieged by Tanks, Trucks, and Heavy Tanks.

  • The city siege region can be seen on the dynmap by enabling the "Cities" layer.

    • For inland cities it'll be a circle containing the city.

    • for coastal cities it will be a box that extends into the ocean.

  • You can now run /siege begin to start the siege.

    • Sieges last 30 minutes total, half of that being the preparation phase, and the other half being the active phase.

Winning sieges

  • To win a siege your ship must still be within the region once the siege ends.

    • Entering the siege last minute is not allowed.

  • When a siege is won, the city's ownership will be handed over to the player that sieged the city, meaning they will be given the daily income from the city.

    • If a city is held for 24 hours by it's new owner, the nation claims surrounding the city will be transferred to the new owner's nation. Essentially annexing the city.
